A recording studio could open behind an old pub in Henley
A NEW recording studio may open in Henley.
Pablo Diablo’s Legitimate Business Firm Limited has applied to South Oxfordshire District Council, the planning authority, to change the use of a garage in Patemore Lane, Pishill to a recording studio.
The firm has also proposed “minor external alterations” to the garage behind The Crown Inn pub, which has been temporarily closed due to change of ownership and refurbishment.

The pub is currently used by freelance studio staff and it is hoped that they will be relocated to the studio when the pub reopens.
Proposed changes include updating both garage doors as well as a second access door being installed.
Two skylights are also proposed but no exterior pedestrian path is necessary as well as resurfacing or paving.
The planning authority aims to make a decision by September 27. However, the application hopes that the work will be completed by September 25.
In a planning, design and access statement, the company said: “The applicant is under extreme time pressure to begin work due to the scheduled launch of a new show on September 25 which will be taped in the proposed studio.

“Risk work may therefore have to start at some point in the demand determination process.
“While not ideal, it is unavoidable due to the recently agreed schedule commitment.”
