“I Don’t Like It” – Billboard
Billie Eilish called Apple Music’s New Music Daily to prep her surprise EP guitar songs and eventually admitted his distaste for the typical studio experience.
“I don’t like studios, I don’t like sessions,” she told host Zane Lowe. “I don’t like the atmosphere of the studios, I really never loved the atmosphere of the studios. There are no windows, it smells like weed, like… There are other artists there, you push them around, you look stupid and then you’re embarrassed that they see you look stupid . I do not know. It freaks me out. It really gives me social anxiety to be in a studio… Yeah, no, it’s not my concert. I don’t appreciate that.

(winner of 2020 Grammy Album of the Year), was conceived in her childhood bedroom in Highland Park, California, while her 2021 follow-up, Happier than ever, was recorded at Finneas’ home studio in Los Angeles.
Later in the interview, Eilish also opened up about her decision to release her latest two-track project on a whim. “The whole thing with music, and especially when you’re getting bigger, is every drop is so big, like, you gotta send it in f-king five months before you want it to come out because you have to prepare the finale. And, you know, you gotta set a date and you gotta shoot the video and you gotta do the press for it… and this and that, and this and that. Which is good, but it’s been so long since I didn’t make any music and then it came out, you know what I mean?
